Based upon the spectacular photographs of Michael Nichols, Gorilla is an exhibit that opened at the California Academy of Sciences and traveled around the world for three years. The exhibit told the story of the competing interests of the communities that surround the mountain gorillas of Central Africa, from the neighbors who struggle to survive, to the tourists, and researchers who have fought to maintain their dwindling population.
