A+A proposed a plan for a satellite museum for the National Steinbeck Center on Cannery Row. The Monterey destination would celebrate Steinbeck’s Cannery Row stories in the context of the rise and fall of the multi-ethnic sardine fishing industry. Though the board decided that the plan was too ambitious in consideration of its’ current operational challenges, this visual narrative, rich with historical data, represents the A+A approach of building short, contained graphic stories as the basis for shaping the experience strategy and inspiring the design of exhibits—our work begins with your story.
