In 1984, the Dallas Cowboys approached architects Cambridge Seven Associates to develop an experience to celebrate America’s team. Tom Ancona, on staff at C7A, collaborated with architects to generate first a series of interactive exhibit concepts, and second, a building concept that was inspired by the major exhibit events.
The hybrid result of a truly multi-disciplinary and seamless collaboration was a plan of open fields, theatres and decks that together suggested a 100-yard building rising up from the landscape. Though never completed, many of these interactive concepts found life several years later in the NFL Experience at the Super Bowl.
