Ancona + Associates has consulted with EBMUD on numerous projects, starting with the design of a dynamic systems map of the East Bay’s water and wastewater district. This hand-sculpted model composite image was developed as the centerpiece of the Operations Center at the new headquarters building in downtown Oakland. The 16’ wide map with embedded electronics displayed the status of each facility in the system.
A+A was responsible for the design and production of the map and the interior design of the center, complemented by adjacent graphic and multimedia exhibits that explained the various features of the water system.
